Field notes / for founders

Important details.

A short collection of release questions, local places to meet builders, and product workflows worth thinking through.

01 / Before the next release

Five questions to take into your next demo.

  1. Can a new user finish the main task? Try the journey with a fresh account, not the account used to build it.
  2. What happens when they retry? Check repeated clicks, duplicate requests, and interrupted sessions.
  3. Does the saved data match the screen? Compare submitted values with what is retrieved.
  4. What is the failure experience? Check missing fields, rejected inputs, and an unavailable dependency.
  5. What remains untested? Record the gaps and who owns the release decision.

03 / Products worth studying

New ideas bring new testing questions.

These are observations inspired by public product descriptions. The companies below are not clients or partners; these questions are not reported defects or claims that they need testing services.

Lucihub · collaborative video production

Lucihub’s platform lets teams capture footage and upload it to the cloud. A useful test-design exercise: what happens to an upload after a connection drops, and which version reaches the reviewer?

Idea to explore: an upload, retry, and approval workflow checklist.

Terbine · mobility infrastructure software

Terbine describes software that coordinates mobility and charging infrastructure. A useful data-quality question: when a status changes, do dashboards and downstream consumers agree on its value and freshness?

Idea to explore: a synthetic event-to-dashboard reconciliation sample.

AI-assisted products · human review still matters

For a future independent sample, test whether a rejected suggestion stays rejected, an approved edit persists, and the original input remains traceable. This is a project idea, not a claim of specialist model-evaluation experience.
